Okay, she looks super adorable sucking her thumb, but do I need to ween her off? Not sure how? Any thoughts? She's nearing two years old - can I wait another year?

She is adorable! I'm not a good one to ask. Lukas held onto his binkie for...well, I'm embarrassed to admit, but it was a long time. And even after I thought we got rid of it, I'd find him sneaking Max's! Good luck, I bet she'll wean herself eventually!! Oh, and I need to call you. Can you email me your phone number? I went to call you today and remembered that it was on my old phone that I don't have any more. :)

ReplyDeleteI used to work for a pediatric dentist and he always said that it was ok until their permanent teeth were in. So for now, you should be alright!

Cute!!! Jess sucked her fingers until about age 3 I think. There is no hurry. I think when it got close to her birthday I explained that she had 7 days (4 days, etc.) to suck her fingers but that 3 yr. olds are big girls that don't suck fingers. We used that gross stuff on her fingers to help her remember at night but then she did it on her own. Her blankie was her replacement.
